Mark offers a fascinating demonstration of how the Sudarium of Oviedo (Spain) could be the "other cloth" mentioned in John's Gospel (chapter 20). The historical trail dates back to Jerusalem. It left Jerusalem in 614 AD at the time of the Persian invasion and arrived in Spain where it eventually ended up in Oviedo in the eighth century. The cloth bears evidence of blood stains pleural fluid as would have occurred after crucifixion. The blood patterns match those found on the Shroud of Turin.
